Sweet Miso Tahini Sauce (Total Time: 5 minutes, Serves: 2)
After a loooong day, I’ll admit that I don’t cook the most amazing meals. Sometimes leftover rice with veggies and beans is all I can muster up, but, a good sauce can totally transform even the most bland dish. This sauce does that. You get some rich nuttiness from the tahini, some salty-umami vibes from the miso, sweetness from the maple syrup, and spice and acid from the fresh ginger. It literally takes a few minutes to whisk up, and it tastes good on everything. Try it out!
Ingredients
2 tbsp tahini
1 packed tsp grated fresh ginger
1 tsp sesame oil
1-2 tsp maple syrup (depending on how sweet you want it)
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp white miso
1/4 tsp garlic powder
a pinch of black pepper
1 tbsp hot water
Directions
1.) Whisk all of the ingredients in a bowl until well combined. Enjoy!
