Flourless Sesame Brownies (Prep time: 10 minutes, Cook time: 20 minutes, Serves: 8)

There’s not much I love more than a rich, chocolatey dessert, and this really hits the spot. At a time when we all need a little more comfort food than usual, these brownies are a quick and easy dessert to make, and they aren’t super complex in terms of ingredients. If you plan on making these for yourself and your family, you might want to double the batch; I’ve found that they are pretty difficult to stop eating! In the case that you don’t eat them all straight out of the oven, they do keep well in the fridge. These brownies can also be made dairy free by easily substituting coconut oil for butter and using dairy free chocolate chips.

Ingredients

1/2 stick butter

1/4 cup tahini

1/4 cup + 3tbsp semisweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup coconut sugar (regular sugar will also work)

2 eggs

1/4 tsp salt

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

1: Turn your oven on to 350 degrees and line a loaf pan with parchment paper and oil. Start by melting your tahini, butter, and 1/4 cup chocolate chips in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl. Once mostly melted, stir together with a whisk.

2: Stir in your sugar and salt, then add your eggs one at a time and whisk well. Whisk until your mixture is very well combined and some air bubbles have formed.

3: Add in your cocoa powder and baking powder and mix until combined. Next, stir in 1 tbsp of sesame seeds and 3 tbsp of chocolate chips.

4: Pour your batter into your lined and greased loaf pan and spread it evenly from corner to corner. Top the batter with the remaining tablespoon of sesame seeds. Bake the brownies for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

5: Remove our brownies from the oven and allow them to cool. Cut your brownies and store any leftovers in the fridge.
